Mack

Mack Trucks was founded in 1900 by Jack and Gus Mack in Brooklyn, NY. The company found simpatico with its famous Bulldog icon during World War I, when the British government purchased the Mack trucks to supply its front lines. British soldiers dubbed the truck the Bulldog Mack for its pugnacious, blunt-nosed hood, reminding the soldiers of the tenacious qualities of their country's mascot, the British Bulldog. Throughout the years and today, Mack Trucks are forever tied to the idea of American trucking.
